Hi all, We came out hot last week, hitting 6 of the 8 noon games. The late slate, Sunday night, and Monday did not go our way, but that’s alright because I love the board this week.
What a game last night. I still cannot believe Charbonnet picking up the ball after the play was over led to a tied game on the two-pointer. Sammy D played one hell of a fourth quarter and overtime, and Puka is an absolute beast.
Let’s win together this week. There are a ton of meaningful games, starting Saturday night with the rematch from two weeks ago between the top teams in the NFC North, Bears vs Packers. That one is going to be popcorn. Aaron Rodgers returns to Ford Field for the first time in a must-win game for Detroit. A loss, and the 2025 season is basically over for the high-flying Lions.
There are also some interesting developments around the league. We get our first look at Quinn Ewers for the Dolphins - can the Dolphins really going to move on from Tua? No one is trading for that contract unless Miami eats most of it. Trevor Lawrence and the Jags head to Denver, where the Bo-lievers are getting louder. Great performance from Bo and the offense against the Packers last week. They seem to play exactly to the level needed to win games. Down in New Orleans, running back injuries continue to pile up, but Shough has been playing great and should keep it rolling against a horrendous Jets defense.
We wrap up the week with Grandpa Phil hosting the Niners. This is a sneaky spot where the Colts could win on a Jonathan Taylor masterclass against an average San Francisco defense. Tony Pollard and the Titans moved the ball consistently against them last Sunday.
That’s not all the football we get this week. The CFP kicks off tonight, and I threw a parlay below that I really like. Bama stinks. Miami will crumble in an absolute madhouse at Kyle Field. I think Ole Miss is in shambles with the Lane departure, and Tulane covers. I’m also excited to see the Dukes play in Eugene. Did not have that on my 2025 bingo card. It’s wild that two P4 schools made it while Notre Dame at Ole Miss would have been a much bigger draw, but still very cool for JMU.
